We'll have one more hurrah for Encyclopedia Greenwoodia once we move back into our space, some time in July. Stay tuned!

We sent our celebration of Greenwood to the printer just two weeks before the gas explosion in March that destroyed so much of our beloved block. Now, the book takes on new significance.

Produced with a grant from 4Culture, Encyclopedia Greenwoodia was conceived as a sweet, smart, loving tribute to a one-of-a-kind neighborhood, including everything from kid-penned profiles of neighborhood artists to children's mystery stories set in neighborhood businesses to insightful maps and histories from professional-writer adults. The very first piece in the book, written by a BFI student, is about Mr. Gyros, which was destroyed in the explosion.

Since the explosion, we increased the book's publication run and pledged 100 percent of the profits to Greenwood relief. So join us to explore Greenwood as it was, as it is, and as it will be—better than ever!

Thanks to BFI all-star Bill Thorness, who spearheaded the creation of Encyclopedia Greenwoodia.
